20th Anniversary Charity Flight – Longreach 2022
After a three-year break, we’re very excited to announce the return of our annual Qantas Pathfinders Charity Flight on Saturday 21st May, with a very special trip to Australia’s famous outback where the Qantas story began – Longreach.
2022 marks Charity Flight’s 20-year anniversary, so it’s fitting we return to the destination of our inaugural flight in 2002. Your host will be Qantas Pathfinders ambassador, ABC Radio Weekends presenter Simon Marnie.
We invite you to join us on our privately chartered 737 departing Sydney at 7am for a scenic flight direct to Longreach. Arriving around 9am, you’ll have an opportunity to see the town of Longreach, followed by a visit to the Stockman’s Hall of Fame.
Next, a chance to explore the heritage listed Qantas Founders Museum. Whether you’d like to visit the exhibits showcasing Qantas’ 102 year history from 1920 until today, see the Boeing 707, Super Constellation and DC3 aircraft up close or reconnect with the Queen of the Skies, the 747, there’s plenty to do and see at your leisure.
The museum will also host our delicious three-course luncheon, partnered with Paragon Wine Estate’s premium wine selection, accompanied by local entertainment and special guests. You’ll hear about the amazing work NextSense does and how funds raised at this year’s event will help children with vision and/or hearing loss for decades to come.
Our spectacular finale at dusk will be Luminescent Longreach – an amazing sound and light experience with drinks in hand before we board the plane for the return flight to Sydney.
