Charity Flight 2023
Join us on Saturday 15th April for day trip to remember on a privately chartered Qantas 737 to stunning Launceston and help raise important funds to support children with vision and/or hearing loss at NextSense. Discover why Launceston has been named one of only two UNESCO Cities of Gastronomy in Australia.
We’ll tour the heritage streetscapes of one of Australia’s oldest cities and visit Harvest Market, Launceston’s “it” place to be every Saturday. Here you can taste the diversity and flavours of regional produce direct from local farmers or purchase a gift from local artisans.
A special surprise awaits you on arrival at picturesque Cataract Gorge. Explore the 65 million-year-old wilderness from above on a chair lift ride across the gorge, from the water on a scenic river cruise, enjoy a short bush walk or just pause to take in the breathtaking scenery.
Everyone who’s joined a Qantas Pathfinders Charity Flight knows the day’s highlight is our delicious 3 course lunch featuring local produce, partnered with award winning wines. This year Josef Chromy Wines is the setting for our lunch with gorgeous vineyard views as the backdrop.
Wine tasting and dessert will be served in the beautiful lakeside pavilion followed by a tour of the picture perfect Josef Chromy vineyards. Bring your camera for some stunning photos!
Your day’s host will be food and wine devotee Simon Marnie, Weekends Presenter on ABC Radio Sydney / NSW and Qantas Pathfinders’ Ambassador. You’ll have a chance to meet our Captain, Customer Service Manager Norrie Constantian and his friendly crew who’ve become an integral part of the Charity Flight and can’t wait to ensure an unforgettable day for everyone.
